Title : Pralaya Payodhijale - Jayadeva Ashtapadi #1 Dashavatara Stotra
Description : Jayadeva's 'Gita Govinda' is a great poetical masterpiece, the theme of which is the love of Radha and Krsna. Jayadeva's only known work, Gita Govinda, embodies his unfathomable devotion to Lord Krsna.

Jayadeva's work on 'Gita Govinda' begins with 'Pralaya Payodhijale', a Hymn to Lord Vishnu (Krsna), describing and glorifying the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu (Krsna), also known as Dashavatara Stotra. This great Stotra mentions Buddha as an incarnation but there is no mention about the incarnation as Krsna. Possibly the inference was to the ten incarnations of God as Lord Krsna and not as Vishnu.

Voice : Swarupa Damodara Das Prabhu (ISKCON)
PurviKalyani raag, Teen taal (Aadi talam)

The mesmerizing vocals and immaculate pronunciation of Swarupa Damodara Prabhu has made this Ashtapadi ever more beautiful.
